Don't go with a firm shopping list: When you arrive at the market see what's fresh and in season so you will only have the best.
Buy something you haven't tried before: Centre Street Market is a great place to get educated about produce. We are more than happy to help and advise you on how to select exactly what you need. We enjoy sharing recipies and cooking tips on your produce purchase.
Take your own canvas, net bags or baskets: We don't provide shopping carts, though we do provide carry baskets. We always suggest piling it on the counter to eleviate carrying heavy items. We suggest purchasing recycled shopping bags for your convenience to use over and over again.
Take those fresh fruits and veggies home right away: Fresh produce does not hold up well in the heat. Store in a cool or refrigerated place right away. If you are not able to get them home right away, bring a cooler for those tender items.
Try not to over buy: One of the main reasons to shop at Centre Street Market is to get fresh food and cook it while it is fresh.
Bring your children with you: Many children have never seen produce outside the grocery store. Our unique outdoor atmosphere and variety of colors and shapes of produce always makes for excitement while shopping.
Take time to chat with the employees: We at Centre Street Market enjoy sharing tips and recipies with our customers. We love to answer questions to help you become a more educated shopper.
